According to news from Taiwan supply chain, Apple has increased its iPhone order from 50 million to 56 million with an increase rate of 12%-13% at the second half this year.

It includes last generation iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA and unreleased iPhone 5; the amount of iPhone order is nearly 25-26 million. It seems like the iPhone 5 will be released a little later than expected, but Apple has more confidence of this phone.

The order of iPhone 3/4 at third quarter will exceed 20 million, but will decline to 8 million at the fourth quarter.

It is anticipated that the total output of iPhone in the whole year will amount to 95 million, approaching 100 million.

Definitely Taiwan suppliers will benefit from more orders, but will be faced with the price pressure from Apple, especially those touch screen manufacturers who occupy the largest proportion of reproduction costs.
