Rumor: Samsung will give up Windows Phone next year
Publish By Loretta S. Mcintyre Updated 14/09/2011 5:02 pm in Technology / 2 comments(NZweek) – Google’s acquisition of Motorola upsets the Android supporters; Samsung has considered joining Windows Phone, yet a news from Twitter shows that Samsung will stop related development of Windows Phone in 2012.
The specific reason is unclear, maybe because the Windows Phone7 is not that awesome, or Android’s law issues are too tiring. Samsung seems to turn to its own Bada mobile system and rely on it to win the smart phone market shares.
Yet the news is not that reliable, because Mango, the key product of Windows Phone 7, hasn’t been released, thus the whole prospect is unknown. What will Samsung do if the phones become a bestseller?
