GENEVA, April 3 — The 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva will take place in Palexpo from April 10 to 14, with 725 exhibitors from 45 countries displaying 1,000 inventions, the founder and president of the exhibition Jean-Luc Vincent said Wednesday.

Vincent said medicine and health care, protection of the environment and energy, electronics and computer sciences were among the categories in which there are the greatest number of inventions.

The Grand Prix of the Exhibition and other 54 prizes will be awarded during the exhibition, he said.

Last year, the Grand Prix was given to Rehab Robotics Company from Hong Kong, China, for a system for re-education of the hand controlled by the brain.

Vincent said China was ranked first by order of importance at the exhibition in terms of numbers of exhibiting inventions and various sectors participation.

Each year, more than 45 percent of the inventions exhibited at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, one of the most important exhibitions in the world, are the object of licensing contracts, according to Vincent.

The exhibition is expected to attract some 60,000 visitors.
