Conservationists laud Zambia’s move to ban wildlife hunting

LUSAKA, Jan. 11 — Wildlife conservationists in Zambia have welcomed the government’s decision to ban all wildlife hunting in Zambia, saying it will go a long way in preserving the country’s wildlife which are currently under threat, an official told Xinhua on Friday.
Minister of Tourism and Arts Sylvia on Wednesday announced the ban on lion hunting and other wild cats but on Thursday she said the government had extended the ban to all wildlife.
“This move is aimed at ensuring that we restock our fast- depleting game life and conduct a census of what we have and what we do not have,” she told local media in a communiqu
