IRKUTSK, Russia, March 22 — A fire that engulfed a factory in Russia’s Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk on Friday has been put out, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

The fire broke out at a workshop of a harvesting machine plant at 09:40 local time (0240 GMT). No one was injured in the fire.

Violation of the technological process may have caused the fire, said the report.

The Tractor Plants company, the owner of the plant, decided in February to transfer the workshop from Siberia to the Chuvash Republic. The company said the plant will be closed by the end of 2013.
