One hurt in Zagreb bomb explosion

ZAGREB, Jan. 11 — Police confirmed a man was hurt when a bomb exploded in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, on Friday morning. But police ruled out the possibility of terrorism attack.

Goran Burusic, the chief of Zagreb police bureau, said at a press conference, a 54-year-old man was slightly hurt in the explosion which occured at 00:06 local time in the morning in Aleja Bologna Street of west Zagreb.

“In this case, we believe that it is not about terrorism,” Burusic said.

A similar explosion occured in early wednesaday morning on the railway nearby the Podsused railway station. No one was hurd but tracks and the engine of the cargo train were damaged and windows of nearby buildings were smashed.
