The DFA said Aquino will continue to advocate maritime security and cooperation and the review of the ASEAN charter with the objective of streamlining the international organization’s work and meetings.

The summit, which will be held on April 24 and 25, has the theme of “Our People, Our Future Together.”

It will also feature the Retreat Session, which will revolve around the following: the ASEAN Community 2015, ASEAN’s central role and the regional architecture, ASEAN’s future direction, and an exchange of views on regional and international issues.
